ACTIVITY I. DEVELOPMENT OF DOCTORATES IN HUMANITIES AT THE INSTITUTE OF ECCLESIASTICAL STUDIES FATHER FÉLIX VARELA
The activity of development of Doctorates in Humanities at the Institute of Ecclesiastical Studies Father Felix Varela will be carried out in collaboration with the University Francisco de Vitoria with the aim of developing PhDs in Humanities, specializing in Philosophy, to join the faculty of the Institute of Ecclesiastical Studies Father Felix Varela.
In the first phase, three people will be the beneficiaries of this activity who must be selected before February 2022 to submit their acceptance by the university and begin their academic activity in the academic year 2022/2023.
This activity will be financed, in principle, with the Foundation’s own resources and for this purpose a collaboration agreement has already been signed with the Francisco de Vitoria University. In no case is it ruled out to develop this type of agreement with other institutions such as the one started with the University of Navarra.
ACTIVITY II. INVITATION OF FOREIGN TEACHERS TO COLLABORATE IN THE TRAINING ACTIVITIES OF THE PADRE FELIX VARELA CULTURAL CENTER.
The invitation of foreign professors to collaborate in the educational activities of the Father Felix Varela Cultural Center, both in its Cuba Emprende and the Father Felix Varela Institute of Ecclesiastical Studies.
This activity, which will take the form of seminars and lecture series, is aimed at enriching the educational and training activities, the Foundation’s own objective, as well as the exchange and development of relations with non-Cuban academic and professional institutions in order to facilitate the knowledge of the reality of the Padre Félix Varela Cultural Center.
The development of intellectual and economic contributions in favor of the Foundation’s activity that may be derived from the development of these invitations is also an objective of this activity.
This activity will be financed, in principle, with the Foundation’s own resources and with this objective in mind, conversations have already begun with institutions such as the University of Navarra, with a first invitation scheduled for next February.
ACTIVITY III. BUSINESS INTERNSHIPS IN COMPANIES IN SPAIN AND EUROPE.
As a complement to the educational and training activities of the Padre Félix Varela Cultural Center, both in its Cuba Emprende and the Padre Félix Varela Institute of Ecclesiastical Studies, this activity seeks to facilitate the experience of young Cubans in foreign companies that can later be incorporated into the business reality of the SMEs that are being authorized in Cuba, or that can even facilitate the development of the activity in Cuba of the foreign companies in which they have been working.
In order to carry out this activity, the Foundation, with the approval of the Board of Trustees, will continue to develop the contacts that its president has been developing during his stay in Madrid and which will be materialized in:
- Selection of sectors and companies
- Selection of candidates by sectors and companies
- Negotiation of visa conditions, travel, stay and return guarantees.
This activity will be financed, in principle, with the Foundation’s own resources and, to this end, discussions have already begun with some companies, but it is open to contributions from current and future trustees.
